Common Burdock (Arctium minus)

Other Names: Lesser burdock

Life Cycle:  Biennial

Description: The plant produces a large basal rosette of heart-shaped leaves with hollow petioles the first year.  During the second year of growth, flowering occurs. The dried flowers resemble a bur with a spiny appearance.
