Plumeless Thistle

Other Names: spiny plumeless thistle, bristly thistle

Life Cycle:  Winter annual or biennial

Description: Can be distinguished from musk thistle by the leaf-like spines on the stem and hairs on the underside of the leaf.  Flower heads are only 1-2 inches wide, much smaller than musk thistle flowers.
